WildTangent is looking for a Head of Product Development to take on the responsibilities across assigned projects including project delivery success, project resource management, documentation/process optimization & knowledge transfer, and support. This role has the unique opportunity to lead a team of passionate and highly qualified engineers. Working closely with the VP of Customer Experience, the Head of Product Development drives the vision, design, strategy, and implementation of integrated web systems in order to support the business. The ideal candidate is one who is not afraid to tackle high-level challenges and balances quality software with speed.
Your Tasks
  • Project Planning and Management – Apply modern project management techniques to manage a project, achieving objectives of scope, quality, and time. Organize and lead project status and working meetings. Prepare progress reports. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Manage project changes. Develop relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Team Management – Head up engineering team and ensuring accountability for their project responsibilities and deliverables. Proactively ensure that the team is "in sync" in terms of communication, schedules, and issues. Promote empowerment, engagement, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Product Manager Support - Partner with business owners and leadership team to plan and prioritize product delivery roadmaps and support deployments.
  • Process Management and Improvement – Champion continuous improvement and adoption of project management and agile software development best practices.


Requirements
  • 6+ years of program management experience in Software Development, with proven track record in coordinating sophisticated application development cycles and schedules
  • Experience with project management methodology
  • Experience with Atlassian toolset a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Software development experience a requirement
  • Excellent customer service attitude a must, including a supportive but pro-active mindset
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field
